Two amateur orchid growers from Prince Edward Island, Canada, Marcelo Bosco and Andrea Studzinski, held the first meeting of the P.E.I. Orchid Club in December 2008 at  Andrea's home with 8 members in attendance. Today, the Club numbers more than 40 avid orchid hobbyists.

 

    Club activities include meetings, guest speakers, open houses and plant orders. Membership in the Club costs only $10 per year with dues collected in November. New members joining after May will pay $5.

 

    The P.E.I. Orchid Club is a member of the Canadian Orchid Congress (C.O.C.). Part of the yearly dues is submitted to the C.O.C. for membership services and insurance. The website of the C.O.C. is a wealth of information and can be found at www.canadianorchidcongress.ca.
